Hi there. I’m Emily, a Utah ski
ambassador. And I’m here to give you three tips to help make the most of your Utah
ski vacation. Today, I’m here to talk about skiing with kids. Skiing is pretty much a way of life
for families here in Utah, and parents have dialed in the system for helping make
the most of your ski day for both kids and parents. Tip number one, enroll in ski school. I
can’t emphasize this enough. Professionals are better at coaxing a good
ski experience out of young kids than parents. It makes for a more
successful introduction of skiing or snowboarding for kids and parents.
Tip number two, try to plan your trip around warmer weather. Sunshine, combined
with warmer temperatures and shorter days keeps kids focused on fun, and they’ll
want to come back for more. Tip number three, never underestimate the
value of a small reward. A stash of gummy bears or M&M’s
in mom or dad’s pocket is a motivating treat for a great turn or completing a new
run. If you can keep your kids comfortable, energized, and enthusiastic
about skiing, chances are you’ll create a skier for life. For more tips, follow our feed or check
