Horseback Free Rider Pt. 2

SHE TRAVELS THE WORLD TEACHING AND SHARING HER LOVE OF RIDING AND HER TECHNIQUE IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM THE REST. JUST A BIT. ALYCIA BURTON JOINS US LIVE FROM LINCOLN WITH MORE ON FREE RIDING. FREE RIDING. IT WAS WILD TO SEE YOU JUMP WITH NO HANDS. AND NO SADDLE. MY GOSH. Reporter: IT’S DEFINITELY A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT AND DARING BUT SOMETHING I LOVE. AND YOU’RE VERY GOOD AT IT. AS YOU MENTIONED EARLIER IN THE LAST HOUR, YOU HAVE BEEN DOING THIS SINCE YOU WERE ABOUT 11 YEARS OLD BUT YOU ALSO TEACH CHILDREN. YES. I DO A LOT OF NORMAL TEACHING IN A SADDLE AND BRIDLE. AND I DO A LOT OF BREAKING IN WORK AND REBREAKING AS WELL. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO HOPE THAT MY BALANCE IS OKAY WITH THE HEIGHTS THAT WE JUMP. WE ONLY HAVE SMALL JUMPS OUT HERE TODAY BECAUSE THIS HORSE HAS BEEN ON TOUR NOW FOR THREE YEARS AND WE HAVE BEEN REALLY BUSY LATELY BUT YOU WANT TO HOPE THAT YOU KIND OF HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF BALANCE SO YOU’RE NOT GOING SPLAT. WE DON’T WANT YOU TO GO SPLAT AT ALL! NO! WE HAVE TO ASK YOU, SO YOU’RE OUT THERE ON THE BEAUTIFUL COURSE CLASSIC GOLD RUSH, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO BOND WITH THE HORSE AND THEN DO SOMETHING LIKE THE JUMPS THAT WE HAVE SEEN IN THE VIDEOS AND THAT YOU HAVE BEEN DOING OUT THERE? OH, I HAVE JUST LOST OUR FEED. OH-OH! SHE IS LOST HER EARPIECE OUT THERE. BUT YOU CAN SEE FROM THIS VIDEO, SO SHE IS JUMPING. WE JUST LOST OUR EARPIECE. WITH THESE HORSES, LIKE YOU MENTIONED, THERE’S NO SADDLE. SHE HAS — THERE’S A ROPE AROUND THE — NOT A ROPE BUT A LEASH KIND OF AROUND THE HORSE’S NECK. ♪[ MUSIC ]♪ BUT FOR THE MOST PART, THAT’S JUST — YOU SEE HER TOOK A LEAD ON THE HORSE AND IT COMES — I WONDER IF THE HORSE LIKES IT BETTER. I WAS ASKING HER THAT. SHE IS NOT SURE IF THE HORSE PREFERS WITH OR WITHOUT THE SADDLE. BUT IT’S ABOUT THE BONDING. HORSES ARE ALL ABOUT THE TOUCH SO YOU WOULD IMAGINE THE HORSE PICKS UP ON THE PERSON’S ENERGY AND THEN WHERE TO GO MAYBE. ARE YOU BACK WITH US NOW? CAN YOU HEAR US NOW? I CAN HEAR YOU NOW. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF FUN. LET’S SEE IT. WOW. WHOA. GOSH. OH, MY GOSH. I’M HOLDING MY BREATH! IT’S JUST LIKE BEING LIVE. YOU HAVE TO BE READY FOR ANY OF THOSE UNEXPECTED SITUATIONS COMING UP. LIKE LOSING AN EARPIECE. AND NOT BEING ABLE TO HEAR YOU RIGHT. HA HA! AND YOU KNOW, ALL WE CAN REALLY HOPE FOR AND DO IS OUR VERY BEST IN THE MOMENT WITH WHAT WE HAVE TODAY. AND WHEN YOU’RE WORKING WITH A LIVE ANIMAL, OBVIOUSLY THEY HAVE GOOD DAYS, THEY HAVE BAD DAYS. AND THE SAME WITH US, YOU KNOW. SO MY ONLY EXPECTATION IS THAT I DO MY VERY BEST FOR THIS HORSE IN THE MOMENT WITH WHAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW. SO TELL US WHAT PEOPLE CAN EXPECT TO FIND AT THE CLINIC TONIGHT. TONIGHT WE’RE DOING A FREE RIDING MASTER CLASS. YOU CAN COME OUT FOR FREE AND WATCH US AND LEARN FROM US AS WE SHOW YOU HOW YOU CAN TRAINER HORSE TO FREE RIDE, HOW YOU CAN GET THEM STOPPING AND TURNING AND GOING AT THE LIGHTEST TOUCH AND THE LIGHTEST BIT OF COMMUNICATION. EVEN IF YOU DON’T RIDE, YOU’LL HAVE A WONDERFUL NIGHT. I DO A LOT OF MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AND THERE ARE A LOT OF LIFE SKILLS THROWN IN THERE, AS WELL. BEAUTIFUL. WOW. IT’S SO MAJESTIC TO WATCH YOU. TO HEAR YOU SPEAK. I DON’T THINK I HAVE THE THIGHS FOR IT. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. YEAH. COME ON OUT HERE WE’LL GIVE YOU A LESSON, YOU’LL BE ALL RIGHT. IT’S ALYCIA BURTON WITH HER
