When you are horseback riding it’s required that you wear a helmet that’s ASTM/ SEI- approved. You can find the tag inside of the
helmet um… that lets you know if it’s approved or not, and it needs to be in order to show. When buying a helmet, you want to feel the helmet. Make sure there are no cracks, Make sure you know where it is coming from. It is better to buy a new helmet so that you know it hasn’t had any bad falls. You need to renew your helmet about every five years. So, even if you have never had a fall. When you’re putting the helmet on, you want to make sure that it fits snug, and when it clips underneath you don’t want it so that it’s choking
you but so that when you left the helmet up it’s not coming off of your had too much. When you shake your head, your helmet should move with your head
and not opposite directions and all around. Same when you shake your head forward, it shouldn’t come over your eyes then back up. It should stay still.
