How To Easily Carry Skis // DAVE SEARLE

hey guys I’ve got three quick and easy ways
that you can carry your skis so what you need is a ski strap and what I like to
do with my skis is I get the poles on the side like that and I close up the
Tech binding and that holds the poles in nicely then I put the ski strap
around. that’s how we need our skis to be for
these three different carries, okay so number one is just a really simple easy
shoulder carry so you put your skis on your shoulder you hold on to the tip of
the ski this is how you should be carrying them around town or if you’re
just going on an easy walk somewhere and you just want to put your skis on next
to a chairlift or something like that so the next carrying system that you can
use where you don’t need your hands anybody can do it if you’ve got a
rucksack take the rucksack and loosen one of the straps off like this
thread the tails of the skis through like that and then just put it over your
head and tighten up that shoulder strap like that now it’s not
the most comfortable way of carrying this skis but it is super quick and
super simple and I’ve got my hands-free for example if I need to do a little bit
of via ferrata use some ropes or if I’m just climbing up a really
short section of ridge see the other super simple way of carrying your skis
is if you haven’t got a bag that hasn’t got a cross carry system, you’ve
probably got two side straps on the side of your bag so what I’ll do is I’ll take
my bag off and I’ll just thread the pair of skis down one side of the bag like
this for the tails in one strap across like that skis are on I’m ready to go. So the
benefit of this carry system is it’s a little bit more comfortable than the
other two and it means your hands are nice and free but the downside is that
it can be a little bit twisted and it pulls you off to one side
