How to fakie bs smith stall

Hi guys, Barns here and I’m going to
show you how fakie smith stall. A great variation of the smith grind
and it is easy to learn so you can add some different move
to your ramp skating. This trick is a fun combination of the smith grind because this way you can stall the grind
before you are really comfortable to grind it and it’s a good way to get into
practising your smith grinds. For this trick all you need is to be able to
roll back and forth in the ramp and to have your tail stall down so you are
familiar with the feeling to get to the coping, and if you know how to rock to fakie then your balance is already good enough to learn this trick super fast. So as you go up the ramp in fakie you need roughly the same speed just like when you do a tail stall. As you reach the coping you have to
hold your weight on your back truck and your back leg slightly bent
and your front foot keep it almost weightless just guiding the stall to have the
right balance and kind of straight. Let your wheel roll over the coping and if you want to lock it easy
if you apply pressure to your heels so it will stop the movement
and you are able to hold the bs smith position. Just hold it for a second and when
you are ready to get back to the ramp slightly lean forward and this time
apply a little pressure to your toes so the board is ready to roll back to ramp easy
and you are not going to hang up on the coping. To get back to the ramp turn your shoulders slightly
and change the pressure to your toes and just roll back to the ramp leaning forward and shift your balance to the centre of your board. A quick recap on what to practice. Get comfortable rolling back and forth in the ramp and as you are coming up in fakie
and you reached the coping, you have to hold your weight on your
back truck and your back leg slightly bent and your front foot keep it almost weightless
just guiding it to have the right balance. Apply a slight pressure to your heels so it’s easier to lock the fakie bs smith stall. Hold your position as long as you like and then, apply a little pressure to your toes so you are not going to hang up on the coping and just drop back to the ramp
just like a drop in lean forward let your truck come back to the ramp
and push down your board. Shift your balance quickly to the
centre of the board and roll away. Now it’s your turn to go out and start to practice. If you have any question or
