How to fit the Professional’s Choice Pro Mesh Cross Country Boots

TAMIE SMITH: Hi,
I’m Tamie Smith and this is my horse, Mai Baum.
This is the Professional’s Choice Pro
Performance Cross Country Boot. We like the Pro Performance
Cross Country Boot because of its durability, the Pebax
material on the inside where the strike tendon guard
is is very flexible. It’s very lightweight.
This is the same material used in Olympic runner shoes because
it doesn’t slip and it doesn’t retain any water. When I mean
that it doesn’t retain water it literally floats. The reason why we love
this material is that it’s very durable because it’s injected
into the mold and it doesn’t weaken the integrity
of the material. When I’m applying
the cross-country boot I want to focus on the back of the tendon guard and what I like about this boot, and the tendon guard is that
it’s very flexible. You can bend the tendon guard to
the back and to the front, which allows for the tendon
guard to actually mold around the tendon,
so it doesn’t become rigid against the tendon.
When you place the boot on, you can feel the Pebax tendon
guard so that it’s very secure up against the horse’s leg.
You apply the straps making sure that the back of the tendon
is right below the knee and right above the bottom of
the fetlock. The boot not only comes in white
but it also comes in black.
