Ice Skating Tips for Beginners : Ice Skating Backwards

That’s skate backwards with the opening and
closing. Be careful, watch the back side. Find your way where you can go to. Pay attention,
don’t lean your body too much forward, I said. Bend your knees. You can add more power and
do this more powerful.
Okay, that was the backwards skating. That was an exercise for coordination of both feet.

  1. Wow same here. I wanna take lessons too(actualy I've done ice skating before, its just been a while). Good luck.(don't be afraid to fall)

  2. Actually you shouldn't do this with both feet at the same time. You should do it by turns. Left feet then right, left, right and so on. What you have shown is just a training not a backwards skating.

  3. This is how they teach you to get used to first going backwards, then move on to skating with each foot. basically its for real begginers. good video though i reckon, a few of his video's explain why you should do certain thing like scate on the inner blade etc etc

  4. I was thinking the same thing! I love that rink, the ice looks so nice for an outdoor rink and tons of space :D… can't wait till outdoor rinks open here!

Great tips too by the way 🙂 !

  5. I do roller hockey, but when i went to ice, i thought going backwards was easier and smoother than going forward XD
