Iceland – Viking Horse-Riding with Gulfoss and Geysir Express Tour

(peaceful music) – Today I’m gonna learn
to tolt on a viking horse before touring some of Iceland’s
most famous natural wonders including the Geysir and
the Gulfoss Waterfall. – Stiaki, hello Stiaki. I am saddled up and ready to go. (peaceful music) There’s such a contrast
of scenery out here. There’s these purple flowers
and all this greenery and in the distance
there’s these mountains capped with snow. This special breed is unique to Iceland. The horses are stockier,
shaggier, more even tempered and perfectly adapted for the challenge of climbing in terrain. Thank you to my new friend, Stiaki for an incredible ride through the countryside. And now off to see the Gulfoss
Waterfall and the Geysir. We’ve just arrived at the Geysir. We’re waiting for the next eruption. It could happen at any second,
we’re all very excited, waiting very patiently. (screams) This is an incredibly
active geothermal area. It’s full of all these
geysers big and small. Whoa. (upbeat music) I’ve just arrived at Gulfoss Waterfall. This place is insane as you can tell. I’m actually gonna go down
closer to check it out. You’re walking along and all of a sudden it’s like the earth just opened up and there’s this massive
hole with this waterfall gushing through it in
all different directions. Then you see the mist rising above and you just sense the power of it. (upbeat music) What a perfect way to see some of Iceland’s highlights,
riding viking horses in the morning, seeing
waterfalls and geyers in the afternoon. This has been a truly
unforgettable experience. (upbeat music)
