  1. WOW! I am loving her music, her vastly refreshingly different approach – she's Sade, Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton, Imogen Heap and more all wrapped up one. And she's fearless with her lyrics. She basically told somebody in Nashville she wouldn't conform or sell herself short she would do it her way. And she did!

  2. Listening to space cowboy on repeat daily instead of dealing with my feelings and emotional well being is my jam.

  3. You look out the window
    While I look at you
    Sayin' I don't know
Would be like saying that the sky ain't blue
And boots weren't made for sitting by the door
Since you don't wanna stay anymore

You can have your space, cowboy
I ain't gonna fence you in
Go on ride away, in your Silverado
Guess I'll see you 'round again
I know my place, and it ain't with you
Sunsets fade, and love does too
Yeah, we had our day in the sun
When a horse wants to run, there ain't no sense in closing the gate
You can have your space, cowboy

After the gold rush, there ain't no reason to stay
Shoulda learned from the movies that good guys don't run away
But roads weren't made to not go down
And there ain't room for both of us in this town

So you can have your space, cowboy
I ain't gonna fence you in
Go on ride away, in your Silverado
    I'll see you around again
'Cause I know my place, and it ain't with you
Sunsets fade, and love does too
We had our day in the sun
When a horse wants to run, ain't no sense in closing the gate
So you can have your space

You can have your space, cowboy
I ain't gonna fence you in
Go on ride away, in your Silverado
    I'll see you around again
'Cause I know my place, and it ain't with you
Sunsets fade, and love does too
Oh, we had our day in the sun
When a horse wants to run, ain't no sense in closing the gate
    You can have your space
Yeah, you can have your space
    You can have your space
    Cowboy

  4. Love the song, but I think she needs to hire better creative directors for music videos and not be so literal…this song would have been great with a cartoon music video.

  5. LeAnne Womack entered the chat and must say Kacey sounds exactly like her. LeAnne had much more epic songs but competed against stronger artist. Like Shania, Sarah Evans, Faith Hill to name a few. This is very basic. Kacey really doesn't have strong vocal competition like country female artist of the past.

  6. You can have your Kace, Cowboy,
She's just out riding the range,
Look over there, It's her silver auto,
    So there's no point,
    In closing that gate,
You can have your Kace, Cowboy
She's not one to fence you in.
    You can have your Kace,
    And ride with her too.

  7. Boots weren’t made for sittin’ by the door since you don’t wanna stay anymore 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

  8. That steel guitar just cuts you in half.. i just imagine it being played on stage at the grand ol opery… Idk who’s playing it, but they did an outstanding job,

  9. This song perfectly captures the feeling of love lost. It's incredibly terrible how heartbreak can make you physically ill. Real love never fades. It sucks.

  10. Great song, but the video should have someone playing and looking the role of a cowboy versus a "Heavy Metal" musician lookalike.

  11. Back here after finally watching Brokeback Mountain for the first time, the song came in mind during the whole movie lol

I did not enjoy it btw, I'm done with this tragic gay shit

  12. Love her music and she deserves so much more than she has gotten, even say that she’s earned more.. but luckily we don’t have to depend on Country Radio anymore to introduce us to good music, or to tell us our taste should be anymore.. we have YouTube, although it is quickly becoming just as limiting and as limited as radio and TV thinking they have the right to tell us what is decent for us to listen to or watch.. going to end up like China’s internet if not careful … anyway, glad to have my Spotify too.

  13. She shows that it doesn’t matter how many suscribers or views you have, if it has cuallity, its enough

  14. this song really deserve more views.
Come-on people it's a Grammy winner. Couldn't we get this beautiful video 1b views.

  15. This is quite frustrating that beautiful songs and albums like this don't get that much attention but trash songs ( like Press) secure there position in top 15 of hot 100. Injustice and depressing at the same time what Is happening to people's taste in music😯😯…

  16. Favorite song ever!!! So glad i discovered Kasey from the Grammys shes amazing. Cant wait to see her in August!!

  17. I’ve been following her for awhile and it’s so great to see all the success she’s had! If you could check out my newest song I tried to make a tune that could sound like her first album

  18. Kacey, thank you. Space cowboy is everything for me. But I stand with Taylor swift. Bye😭

  20. Best song of the album. Best album of the year. One of the best albums in the decade. One of the best albums of all time. YET, SO UNDERRATED😔.

  21. How did I miss this song??? I'm a huge fan and first time I heard it was Chevel Shepard on the voice… Always loved Kacey's take on country music but she nailed that classic sound every soul connects with on this one…👍

  22. Just gunna say it once! I'm a Us Navy vet! And cowboy all my life!! And damn proud of it! To and I've worked hard all my life Truckin heavy equipment and rodeoin for over 16 years of my life and still work ranch feedin cattle and training horses! But the cancer is Killin me! And this girl has give me the spirit to fight on!! God bless you and your voice sweet Darlin!!👍

  23. This makes me happy every time I listen to this bc my step sis was like my sis even though she was 24 we hung out then she moved out and my mom and stepdad divorced 😭 ty for this song we used to listen to it in the car
Edit: cherish the ones you love 😭

  24. Facts are a stubborn thing no matter how you attempt to avoid them in your rainbows and unicorns bubble. Your political propaganda doesn't change the fact that Musgraves wouldn't even be nominated for any Grammys or CMA Awards, muchless be voted to receive the top Grammys and CMA Awards from the socially left-leaning BIG union members of the academy, if she hadn't agressively self-promoted her own lesbianism in the media at the same time she began her efforts to receive nominations from the media-hyped, left-leaning, socially liberal Grammy nominating committees and BIG Union voting members, added to her media-hyped political efforts, shortly after she met a woman in a cafe in May of 2016 she announced she and the woman were engaged on December 24, 2016 followed up with her announcement that the two were married in a same-sex lesbian wedding on October 14, 2014 – all corresponding with the exact same time she planned, promoted and released the album Golden Hour which inexplicably was awarded the Grammys' biggest awards including Album of The Year (over every other recording act in the music industry that released an album during the preceding year) as well as Best Country Album, and the album's first two singles, "Butterflies" and "Space Cowboy" won awards for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song, respectively. All of this political corrupting and taking the music industry hostage by the left-leaning propagandists who are bent on forcing homosexuality on America by socially re-engineering society is proven out by the fact that Musgrave's album Golden Hour has only sold a grand total of 243,100 copies (as of July 2019) since it was initially released on March 30, 2018. That's right, the album that was declared Album of The Year by the Grammys has only sold 243,100 copies in the the U.S. in FIFTEEN MONTHS. It has never hit number 1 on the Billboard 200 Album Charts. It sold a measly 39,000 copies during it's first week of release and almost no one in America has ever listen to anything Musgraves has recorded, nor have they shown the least bit of interest in her music or her songs or the few poor selling albums she has released since she released her first album in 2013. Yet, the Grammys awarded her album ALBUM OF THE YEAR IN 2018. Not only does Musgrave's computer-enhanced voice sound like a million other average karaoke singers, but her songs that have been granted all of these media-hyped, politically-generated accolades are so boring, so uninspiring, so lacking in originality or creativity, so tired and ridiculously disengenous. It is sad and insane and depressing that the politically-motivated left has been allowed to hijack the Grammys whose annual awards were once classified as important historically significant contributions to the advancement of the technoligical, scientific, artistic and creative domain of the recording artists of America's music industry. This barely average, completely boring and definitely uninspiring karaoke singer released her first uneventful (it sold a pitiful 42,000 copies in its first week and a total of 519,000 in six years), uninspiring and stale album in 2013 (yet, it was given the Grammy Award for Best Country Album in 2014). Now, Musgraves was given the 2018 Grammy for Album of The Year for Golden Hour which has not even sold 1/4 of a million copies in America simply for the purposes of forcing the acceptance of same-sex lesbian marriages on Country Music audiences and the music industry as a whole. This is repugnant, unAmerican and a dangerous threat to Americans' liberty, freedoms and their rights to choose who and what they deem honorable and who they choose to listen to.

I am not alone in my opinions on Musgraves and the corrupting of the Grammy Awards. One, the entire process for nominating recording acts and their music is corrupt and influenced by the left-leaning media companies that manage and profit from the recording acts they nominate for Grammys. Most of the CEOs of these conglomerate media companies are stooges for the Democratic Party and its social agenda and it's obsession with glorifying same-sex marriages. The voting members are all beholden to these CEOs and their media companies:

Media companies registered with the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences and individual members of NARAS (artists and other professionals working in the industry who meet certain criteria) may enter recordings for consideration. Entries are made online and a physical copy of the work is sent to NARAS. Once a work is entered, reviewing sessions are held, involving more than 150 experts from the recording industry, to determine whether the work is entered in the correct category. The resulting lists of eligible entries are circulated to Voting Members, each of whom may vote to nominate in the general fields (Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist) and in no more than nine out of 30 other fields on their ballots. The five recordings that earn the most votes in each category become the nominees, while in some categories (craft and specialized categories) there are review committees in place that determine the final 5 nominees. There may be more than five nominees if there is a tie in the nomination process. Whereas members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are generally invited to screenings or are sent DVDs of films nominated for Oscars, NARAS members do not receive nominated recordings. Instead, they receive access to a private online listening function.

QUACK ALERT 👉 After nominees have been determined, final voting ballots are sent to NARAS voting members, who may then vote in the general fields and in no more than nine of the 30 fields. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️Members are encouraged, but not required, 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ to vote only in their fields of expertise. Ballots are tabulated secretly by the major independent accounting firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Following the tabulation of votes the winners are announced at the Grammy Awards. The recording with the most votes in a category wins and it is possible to have a tie (in which case the two or more nominees who tie are all considered winners). Winners are presented with the Grammy Award and those who do not win are given a medal for their nomination.

🤣🤣 SURE, SURE, SURE IT'S ETHICAL AND HONEST 🤣🤣 In both voting rounds, Academy members are required to vote based upon quality alone, and not to be influenced by sales, chart performance, personal friendships, regional preferences or company loyalty. The acceptance of gifts is prohibited. Members are urged to vote in a manner that preserves the integrity of the Academy and their member community. Although registered media companies may submit entries they may not vote in either round of voting.

AND THIS: The Grammy Awards has received criticism from various recording artists and music journalists.

When Pearl Jam won a Grammy in the category Best Hard Rock Performance in 1996, the band's lead singer Eddie Vedder commented on stage: "I don't know what this means. I don't think it means anything." Glen Hansard, leader of the Irish rock group The Frames, stated in 2008 that the Grammys represent something outside of the real world of music "that's fully industry based". He said he wasn't that interested in attending that year's ceremony, even though he had been nominated for two different awards. Maynard James Keenan, lead singer of metal band Tool, did not attend the Grammy Awards ceremony to receive one of their awards. He explained his reasons:

"I think the Grammys are nothing more than some gigantic promotional machine for the music industry. They cater to a low intellect and they feed the masses. They don't honor the arts or the artist for what he created. It's the music business celebrating itself. That's basically what it's all about."

In 2011, Los Angeles Times journalist Randall Roberts criticised the exclusion of Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy from Album of the Year category nominations for the 54th Grammy Awards. He described West's album as "the most critically acclaimed album of the year, a career-defining record". Roberts went on to criticize the Grammy Awards for being "mired in the past" and out of touch with "new media" and trends amongst music listeners such as music sharing, stating:

"The major nominations for the 54th annual awards clearly show that the recording academy has been working overtime to be all-inclusive, but more significantly, they also reveal a deep chasm between its goals and the listening habits of the general population… The focus is still on the old music industry model of cash-cow hits, major label investments and commercial radio…"

In an article for Time, journalist Touré also responded to the snub and expressed his general displeasure with the awards, stating "I don't pretend to understand the Grammys. I have never been able to discern a consistent logic around who gets nominated or who gets statues. I comprehend the particular logic of the Oscars, but not the big awards for music. My normal state of confusion around what drives Grammy decisions was exponentialized this week when, to the shock of many, Kanye's masterpiece My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was not nominated for a Grammy for Album of the Year." He went on to compare understanding the Grammy Awards to 👉 Kremlinology 👈 and commented on The Recording Academy's exclusion of more "mature" hip hop albums as Album of the Year nominees, noting that it occasionally opts to nominate "pop-friendly" hip hop albums instead.

  25. She is one of, if not the only, true country singers. She sings Hank Williams SR…. SENIOR! what more can you ask for in a woman or musician?

  26. I would only change one thing about my favorite song… I'd get rid of the "Cowboy" after the longer delays, the short ones are fine. However, did she really write a song so perfect?

  27. Listen to her version of Hank Williams SR.'s "You Win Again" …. Plus not only singing Hank Sr… shes playing my home town on Hank's Birthday! GO ASHEVILLE

  28. You can have your SPACE COWBOY, I ain’t gonna fence you in….that verse struck a chord on my heart 💔 strings. My boyfriend of three years told me to leave and give him back his key and that hurt like hell.
