I first started riding when I was around six years old. I had my first lesson on my birthday and then I’ve had weekly lessons ever since. I took my Stage 1 a couple of months back and then I’ve been having lessons to train for my Stage 2. Coach: So we’re going to have a look at our serpentine now, starting at C allowing yourself to have time to make the change through the flexion. Okay, give me a brief summary of how that felt, Maddy. Maddy: A bit messy and too sharp around the corners. I’d love to own my own horse one day and definitely I’d love to compete at Horse of the Year Show. Coach: Well done. Ride the rhythm. That’s consistency through to the rein so we’re looking for a slightly cleaner transition. Super, Maddy. Well done. I’m Maddy, and I’m a Stage 1 Rider.
