Natural History Museum Ice Skating Rink London

HI Guys welcome back to London tonight we
are starting at South Kensington South Kensington tube station is just there behind me tonight
I’am headed to one of London’s festive ice skating rinks the tonight I’am going to check
out the one at the Natural History Museum arguably one of the most spectacular most
spectacular backdrops to any of the ice rinks although Somerset house is pretty amazing
there is this pedestrianised area here next to the station full of restaurants and bars
it is super popular just up here is the Natural History Museum there is in fact tunnels underneath
this street running from South Kensington station to the corner of The Natural History
Museum the corner that the ice rink is in but yeah a great spot for dinner and maybe
drinks before ice skating or even after although there is a bar a terrace overlooking the ice
skating so maybe we will go and get a drink and watch some of the skating right now can
you see there is a guy with a playing is that a trombone no that is not a trombone I have
no idea what that is but there are flames coming out of it a brass instrument that is
what that is OK this is the Natural History Museum and on the corner is an ice rink one
of London’s most popular the ice rink here at the Natural History Museum opened at the
end of October and will remain open until early January it is a great spot to come skating
the Natural History Museum makes a fantastic backdrop to skate in front of and there is
a terrace bar here which is open to everyone you don’t need to be skating to enjoy the
bar and restaurant overlooking the ice rink it is a fantastic spot to come and get something
hot or cold to drink and eat the smell of those roasting nuts is amazing OK it looks
pretty amazing lets I think we can get a better view around the other side first and then
maybe up in the the bar and terrace overlooking the rink but yeah the Natural History Museum
building is a spectacular backdrop for ice skating lets head down there those are the
tunnels that lead to South Kensington train station and further on to other museums lets
see if we can get a better view from above and something warm to drink OK you put your
skates on there the bar is upstairs OK black Americano coffee overlooking the ice rink
its pretty good OK they are just changing skating sessions now so I will wait for the
next batch of fresh victims OK we are in business a fresh batch of skaters probably a bit unfair
really maybe they haven’t done it for a year OK guys I hope you enjoyed this trip the The
Natural History Museum ice rink a great spot skating looks like fun and a great spot the
terrace bar for something to eat something warm to drink mulled wine hot chocolate overlooking
the overlooking the ice rink spectating the ice rink so yeah I hope you enjoyed that definitely
recommend it until next time Toodles! I guess I should give you a a quick look inside the
museum while we are here queue museum footage OK welcome to The Natural History Museum luckily
there are no queues it is quite late but yeah during school holidays this will all be filled
with people queuing up to get in let me show you why it is a great spot to pop in OK pretty
cool huh dinosaurs all sorts in here it is worth popping in just the main hall the best
views are actually from up here but they are doing a lot of renovation work at the moment
so I can’t get up there right now but yeah definitely worth if your in this part of town
pop in it is free to get in they just ask for donations and check out the dinosaurs
and amazing architecture

  3. Your videos are outstanding! The London tourism council should be paying you. I'm visiting in 2017 because of your videos. Thank you!!

  4. Happiest of holidays to you!!!!Β  Fingers x'd to get to visit London early in the holiday decoration season next year.
BTW, here in Portland, Oregon, USA and at a nearby mall it sure seems to me there s a major dearth in the decorations this year.Β  Seems as tho there is a war on holiday decorations and the cheapskates won it.Β  Lucky you in London.

  5. Hi mate awesome videos, being a Londoner myself I've been missing it for a few years since moving to Sydney and have been enjoying your video trips around the place especially at this time of year. Keep up the good work, maybe one day i'll be back and will end up bumping in to you around London somewhere. Cheers.
