New Caney Eagles Swimming Profile

The New Caney Eagles swim team is doing
their best to build a new team after losing seven seniors last year, five boys
two girls have moved on and this year there’s only one senior on the team. Head
swim coach Troy Holloman says he’s getting some experienced swimmers back
and that’s a good thing. “It’s gonna be rebuilding year but it’s gonna be fun
because a lot of the region finalist have come back but we have long-term
goals that we can work on because we shouldn’t be losing anybody for next
year.” While the young boys team is turning in better times with each
meet, long-term the Eagles look solid. We have some kids that are dropping a lot
of time getting a lot lot faster as they’re getting older and getting
stronger growing a little bit. It’s a lot of work so we’re getting better it’s gonna
be fun the next couple of years. Still with a reorganized district the
Eagles have some tough competition on every level. ” Looks like it could be a
little bit stronger with Grand Oaks coming in we lost Humble but with Kingwood
Park, Grand Oaks and Crosby still has a couple of their kids.
I think district got a little bit tougher and then region got stronger at
Montgomery and Friendswood.
