Piper Knit Breeches by SmartPak – Low Rise Full Seat Review

AL: Hi, I’m Al. I work
in Creative, and today I’ll be reviewing
the Piper Knit Breeches in Low Rise Full Seat.
As a dressage rider, you would think that I love
riding in full seat breeches. I actually really just feel
like I’m wearing a diaper when I wear them. I fell in love
with these breeches, because they actually allow
you to move when you’re wearing them on and off
the horse. They really are the most
comfortable pair of breeches I’ve ever owned. And the difference is really
noticeable when you ride in a different pair of breeches
and then put these back on the next day. There really is so much to love
about these breeches. The fabric is so soft
and stretchy. The thickness is perfect
to give you more of the breech support
with the comfort of wearing a tight or even
your favorite pair of yoga pants. The fun silicone pattern
provides just the right amount of sticky to keep
you tight in the tack while still allowing you to move
with your horse and properly use your aides. I really love that the waistband
is both two inches wide and lined with elastic. As the description says it
really is a forgiving comfort. I really like to pair
this with a wider belt and I find that it gives
the waist area a really flattering look. Another comfort forward
feature of these breeches is the sock bottom. It’s super easy to pull them
right over your feet and slide your socks right on up over. They lay completely flat under
your boot so you don’t get any of the lumps and bumps you
would from a Velcro™ closure. There’s two front pockets
in these pants, which are great for anything
like cookies, gloves or even your cell phone. These breeches are perfect
for any rider — not just dressage — looking for some extra
security in the tack. I also challenge any rider
like myself who does not prefer riding in full seats
to try these on and fall in love with their mobility. These breeches are perfect
for the equestrian on the go whether you need
to spend all day at the barn, go to the grocery
store after riding, lay on the couch or even
wear them into the office. I throw these breeches
into the washing machine with the rest of my clothes. The manufacturer recommends
hanging them to dry. I honestly toss them
in the dryer and haven’t had any problems yet. I find that the waste
of these breeches runs really true to size.
They do run a little long. I’m 5’11” and I always buy
long pants and these pants give me the extra coverage
that my ankles always need. If you find that these
breeches don’t fit, no worries because you can
exchange them for free with SmartPak’s free
return shipping. Another reason why these
are my favorite breeches is that
they are eligible for SmartPerks. I’m Al, and the Piper Knit Breeches
in Low Rise Full Seat are the most comfortable
pair of breeches I own.
