  1. The state as I mentioned won't win this case as I stated before. There is no Florida State Statute on dui on a horse. However law enforcement many times do not care if a arrest sticks really, they look at it for certain people to go to jail for a night based on the persons disposition in the officers eyes and I even recall that some officers took the person's personal items just to throw it away to piss the people off. The police academy teaches I recall " As police officers, you do not take matters personal but for the state statute you justify, then the instructer says loud BULLSHIT SOMETIMES , officers have a bad day after coming to work from leaving home from a argument with their spouse and other times from " ignorant people".

I could say this now being newly retired without retailation against me from fellow officers and I do not fear officers as a civilian now either as I know what to do if they cross any lines. Yes I went to the academy across the bridge and I could specifically recall the instructors name and Department. His name was Coorpral Showmaker from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office and taught at least 5 courses at the Manatee County Police Academy. This specific teachings on " Officers taking things personal" was in Legal III ( third course all officers take upon entry).
