Teach Children Skiing | Episode 4 : Getting On and Off Chair Lifts


Hi everybody, This is Nicholas and we’re at
Solitude and this is my son Nicholas. No it’s not… your William huh. Hi everybody, It’s Nicholas and this is my son William and this is Teach Children Skiing Episode 4. The best way to get you and your child on and off the chairlift for the first few times is always ask the lift attendants to slow down the chair It’ll make life much easier. Most children are going to need a little bit
of help getting on and off the chairlift getting on the chairlift for the first
time you’re going to be picking them up just a little bit to get their butts up
onto the seat. Once you’re on the chairlift have your child slide all the way to the back of the chair lower the safety bar when available and that will
allow them to hold on to that bar and feel a little safe. Always keep one hand
on your child just in case kids are slippery you don’t want them
falling off the chairlift. When you get to the top of the chairlift give them a countdown to help them anticipate getting off the chair. For the first few
times it’s okay to guide them off the chair. Try to stick back a little bit and
always stay out of the way of other skiers once you’re off the top of the
